Bovonic is excited to announce the newest addition to our team – Caleb Spencer, who joins us as Supply Chain Manager.
As Bovonic moves towards commercialisation, it became imperative to fill the pivotal role of Supply Chain Manager. We were after an individual who exemplified teamwork, quick thinking, and meticulous attention to detail. Caleb not only met these criteria but exceeded them. Since Caleb started, he has been thrown into the deep end and thrived. He has successfully implemented multiple systems and procedures, significantly enhancing our ability to deliver QuadSense to farmers more rapidly. Given the robust market demand, it is crucial that we respond efficiently with our product and scale operations swiftly. Caleb’s contributions have been instrumental in achieving these goals.
We asked Caleb a few questions about why he wanted to work with Bovonic and his background:
What attracted you to Bovonic?
I had been following Bovonic’s journey for a while and was inspired by this Kiwi startup’s mission to assist farmers across New Zealand. The team at Bovonic have created an awesome product in QuadSense, that is providing real world value, and I am stoked to be a part of it.
How has your background prepared you for this dynamic role?
Coming from a background in operations and account management, I have practical experience in handling a business’s supply chain. I have a real customer-centric focus, and a track record in fulfilling timely delivery of products, to a high standard. Having been involved in an ag-tech startup prior, I have a solid understanding of what a dynamic role entails and do not shy away from getting my hands dirty.
Why does ag-tech excite you?
Due to the progressive nature of this industry, I am genuinely excited by the emerging innovations that are solving tough problems. Recently, I had the opportunity to be involved at Fieldays, where I enjoyed interacting with others who share a passion for this industry. It’s an awesome community.
Who is Caleb outside of work?
I am a keen adventurer and am often tramping in the bush with mates, or riding my adventure bike. I thrive in outdoor activities!
Welcome to the team Caleb!
